Gas Safety Tips

From recent acetylene gas explosions in the industry it is important to take note of the following learnings:
1.      Ensure that gas storage areas are always well ventilated.
2.      Never store gas cylinders in containers or poorly ventilated areas.
3.      Always test gas cylinders for leakages.
4.      Always do a pre-use check on the oxy-acetylene set or any other gas set before use.
5.      Never leave hoses pressurised when work is completed.  Always close cylinders and depressurise hoses.
